Microsoft launches Surface Hub 2S
Surface Hub 2S comes with one Surface Hub 2 Pen and Surface Hub 2 Camera, and is available with selected partners
Microsoft has unveiled its Surface Hub 2S device that delivers battery-enabled mobility and collaboration in a 50-inch powerhouse. Surface Hub 2S, with prices starting at AED 34,870, comes with one Surface Hub 2 Pen and one Surface Hub 2 Camera included and is available now from selected Surface Hub partners.
“We designed Surface Hub 2S with the region’s teams in mind,” said Mirna Arif, Surface business group director at Microsoft Middle East and Africa. “With the latest addition to our Surface family, we have built a bridge between the digital and physical workspaces, in deference to how the nature of work continues to evolve. The modern workplace demands more from employees and cross-skilled teams collaborating continuously has become the new norm.”
Bringing together Windows 10, Microsoft Teams, Office 365, Microsoft Whiteboard and the intelligent Microsoft Cloud, Surface Hub 2S enables teams to work in entirely new ways and gives them the flexibility to come together wherever they work best. It takes something that has long been a fixture in the conference room – the shared screen – and transforms it into a mobile computer, built for teams.
Surface Hub 2S packs 50% faster graphics performance than the original Surface Hub and offers the thinnest edge and smallest bezels in its class, bringing you closer to your content and your team and integrating seamlessly into any office environment. 40% lighter than its predecessor, and with a 60% thinner display, Surface Hub 2S fits easily into any space, from a traditional conference area to a compact meeting room. When paired with the Steelcase Roam Mobile Stand and APC Charge Mobile Battery, Surface Hub 2S creates a mobile collaboration experience that frees teams from the conference room and allows your ideas to be as mobile as you are – no AC power connectivity required.
A vibrant 4K+ 50-inch multi-touch display offers a lustrous canvas for collaboration, with the best pen and touch experience and the highest resolution found in a device in its class. The enhanced 4K camera, crystal clear speakers and far-field mic arrays help everyone on the team – local or remote – see and engage with the meeting content and each other, making it feel almost like everyone is in the same room together.
“At Microsoft, we work tirelessly to help individuals and organisations achieve more,” Mirna Arif added. “The empowerment of employees promised by digital transformation has essentially become the empowerment of teams, so we have designed Office 365 to put collaboration front and centre and let people work together in real-time from any device. Microsoft Teams is a secure virtual huddle where teams can access all the tools they need to innovate effectively, and Microsoft Whiteboard has been enhanced with new AI that allows teams to work smarter.”
