Zacky Vaz is the senior regional channel & distribution manager Fortinet
With more than two decades of channel experience, Zacky Vaz started his career as a service engineer with an IT reseller focused on PC/notebook assembling and networking. After joining Techdata as a Microsoft sales specialist, he started his vendor career with Trend Micro as a channel manager and then country manager.

After eight years, he joined Fortinet where his focus remains on building strong distribution and partner relationships and ensuring that partners have the required skill sets and certifications.

This also allows me to strategically lead the channel activities for Fortinet in the region and focus on growing the business which is growing double digits."
Year so far
This year, Fortinet expanded its Fabric ready partner ecosystem and launched a partner program for MSSPs. The company has also invested in the channel through training, certifications and organising roadshows to engage with partners. Another spotlight for the year was the corporate acquisition of ZoneFox that has strengthened the Fortinet Security Fabric offering.
From a channel prospective we are focused on building a strong channel community and network, while driving a flexible partner program which will have a very focused approach towards each targeted verticals.
Technologies to watch out for
Security is the keyword for companies that are now on the path to digital transformation. SD-WAN, OT security, multi-cloud, edge and securing 5G networks are the key security technologies to watch out for.
