HP continues to partner with Amazon following the amazon.ae launch
Shoppers on amazon.ae can search for HP products and pay in AED using local and international credit cards or cash on delivery
HP Inc. has announced a long-term partnership with Amazon, a leading e-commerce company that launched a new marketplace in the UAE this month, amazon.ae, following its acquisition of souq.com two years ago.
Under the partnership, HP will make its entire portfolio of laptop computers, desktops, printers and accessories available to customers via the newly launched website, amazon.ae, and via its app, which provides a new local shopping experience for customers in the UAE. Amazon.ae features over 30 million products from local and international businesses, including products previously available on Souq and five million products from Amazon US. Customers shopping on amazon.ae will enjoy the same commitment to great prices as on Souq, and fast and reliable delivery by Amazon.
Speaking about the new partnership, Mathew Thomas, vice president and managing director, Middle East, Turkey and East Africa at HP said: "We are extremely proud to have partnered with Amazon. Through this exciting collaboration, we are able to provide our clients with a new and enhanced shopping experience. Offering a wide product range, our partnership will not only boost delivery services, but will extend all of Amazon’s usual perks on to our own customers, while enabling Amazon to expand its product offering in the region."
"For us, the partnership is a first step in HP's ambitious growth plans for a fast growing Middle Eastern market. By expanding our partnerships with leading resellers, channel partner and e-commerce sites, HP seeks to take a prominent position across the region," Thomas added.
Ronaldo Mouchawar, co-founder of Souq, vice president of Amazon MENA said: "At Amazon, we are always focused on delivering the best possible customer experience. One of the ways we do that is through partnerships with great brands like HP and we are thrilled that they continue to join us on this journey. Amazon.ae brings together Souq’s local know-how and Amazon’s global expertise, something we believe will be of significant benefit to UAE customers."
Available HP products will include the newly launched Spectre Folio and the Tango Smart Home Printer, as well as gaming assesoires, software, multimedia, mices, keyboards, ink cartridges, and toners.
Shoppers on amazon.ae can search for HP products and pay in AED using local and international credit cards or cash on delivery (COD). For the first time ever at Amazon, Arabic language has been introduced to both the mobile app and the website to cater to customers who prefer shopping in Arabic.
