UAE telco Etisalat has entered into a strategic partnership with Sage Middle East. In terms of the agreement, which was signed at GITEX Technology Week, the two parties will work closely together to deliver Sage Cloud accounting solutions to small and medium businesses (SMB).

Assisting with the compliance of value-added taxes, the new partnership will enable Etisalat's SMB customers to subscribe to Sage Business Cloud Accounting, which was accredited by the UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) earlier in 2018.

"We are excited to partner with Sage, the market leader in cloud business management solutions, to deliver the best-in-class cloud accounting to our valued SMB customers. This partnership is in line with our strategic objective to be a fully integrated ICT solutions and services provider, and business partner of choice in cloud services," commented Salvador Anglada, goup chief business officer, Etisalat.

In addition to providing tools to better manage finances and cash flows, Sage's cloud-based accounting platform allows users to easily share the workload and automate processes. This in turn helps deliver improved backend efficiency, while reducing the number of admin tasks.

Sam Tayan, Managing Director at Sage Middle East, said: "We are honoured to partner with Etisalat, one of the largest telecommunications firms in the GCC region, to support the ambitions of small and medium businesses, many of which struggle with accounting and cash flow management of their businesses. Our business management solutions allow entrepreneurs and business owners to focus on their core purpose, instead of worrying about VAT-compliance and other administrative tasks that can be easily automated."
