Cisco and Google to collaborate on product integration
Google AI to support Cisco solutions, closer integration of Webex with productivity suite
Cisco has announced new integration of Cisco productivity solutions with Google products to improve workplace efficiency.
The product integration mainly focus on Cisco's Webex video meeting solutions and contact centre solutions.
Among the new capabilities announced are the use of Google Artificial Intelligence solutions to support contact center agents using Cisco contact centre software. Google AI will be added to Cisco Customer Journey Solutions via Google Cloud's new Contact Center AI solution.
Cisco solutions will also include integration with Google productivity suite, such as the ability to schedule Cisco Webex meetings direct from Google Calendar, and the ability to use Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms in Webex Teams Spaces.
The two companies will also work on developing Google AI for capabilities such as transcription, translation, meeting summaries and task management.
For mobile, Cisco has released a Webex Teams Android SDK, which will support developers in adding Cisco collaboration capabilities into their Android apps.
