BlackBerry KEY2 now available in retail stores

TCL Communication has revealed that the BlackBerry KEY2 is available is now available in the Middle East.

The all-new smartphone is available across retailers in the UAE and is distributed by Axiom Telecom.

"Although there are many different smartphones for consumers to choose from today, most tend to offer very similar experiences without much distinction from one to the next," said Alain Lejeune, senior vice president, TCL Communication and president, BlackBerry Mobile.

Featuring an iconic BlackBerry physical keyboard and loaded with BlackBerry Limited's best security and privacy enhancements, the handset packs a number of features that are firsts for any BlackBerry smartphone.

Running the latest Android 8.1 Oreo operating system, the KEY2 is the first BlackBerry smartphone to feature a dual rear camera. The handset also includes the introduction of Speed Key, a universal shortcut key that now makes it possible to instantly access the apps, contacts and functions you use most from anywhere on your device at any time.

UAE telco Etisalat has also announded that will also begin offering the BlackBerry KEY2 in both Silver and Black in the UAE today.

The BlackBerry KEY2 Silver (6GB RAM/64GB ROM) is available at a retail price of AED 2,399 in the UAE and SAR2399 in Saudi Arabia, while the Black (6GB RAM/128GB ROM handset is retails AED2,699 in the UAE and SAR2,699 in Saudi Arabia.

All BlackBerry KEY2 variants in the Middle East are equipped with Dual Sim.
